Day 1 - Arrive London
Time to relax after checking into your Trafalgar hotel.

Day 2 - London - Paris (2 nights)
This morning, we're off through Kent to Dover where we cross the Channel by ferry to France. Soon we can see the Sacre Coeur, the Eiffel Tower and more as we approach this glamorous city. Then get to know the rest of your group at this evening's Welcome Drink. (Continental Breakfast)

Day 3 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure
This morning we enjoy an included sightseeing tour with a local Parisian expert. Then time at leisure. Tonight, if you fancy 'painting the town red' at Clubs such as 'Les Bains Douches' we'll have late-night transportation at hand!(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 4 - Paris - Bordeaux
Late morning departure for Bordeaux takes us past Tours with its towering Cathedral and the strange Futuroscope buildings at Poitiers. Tonight, why not try a little claret with our included dinner in a downtown restaurant? (Buffet Breakfast, Highlight Dinner)

Day 5 - Bordeaux - Biarritz - Pamplona
Our first stop is in nearby Biarritz with its sandy beaches and stylish surfers! Time for a swim before crossing into Spanish Basque country and Pamplona, renowned for the running of the bulls at the San Firmin Festival. Orientation tour shows us the main sights, before dinner at our hotel. (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 6 - Pamplona - Burgos - Madrid (2 nights)
First we visit Burgos, city of 'El Cid', where the gothic Cathedral houses the warriors' tomb. We continue over the Guadarrama Mountains to Madrid. Bars and clubs abound in this exciting city, where at four o'clock in the afternoon there is a silent lull – but at four o'clock in the morning, things are really happening! We will have a coach available to bring you back to your hotel. (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 7 - Madrid sightseeing & at leisure
A morning panoramic sightseeing tour with a local guide encompasses all you need to know about the Spanish capital. Later, you may wish to go to Toledo or maybe take a little siesta! This evening, why not try out some of the late night bars around the Plaza Mayor? (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 8 - Madrid - Barcelona (2 nights)
As we

drive along the Jalon gorges we see the old Arab irrigation systems still in use today on our approach to Barcelona. Don't miss out on a fiery Flamenco show tonight. We'll have late-night transportation to get you back to your hotel. (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 9 - Barcelona sightseeing & at leisure
From Gaudi's incredible 'Sagrada Familia' to the Paseo de Gracia with its chic boutiques this is a city of surprises. We'll explore its many facets with our local guide. Enjoy Catalan specialties in a local restaurant tonight and then the city is yours. (Buffet Breakfast, Highlight Dinner)

ESP6a - MADRID. El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen
This guided tour takes us first to the royal city of El Escorial. This great monastery-palace was built in the foothills of the Guadarrama mountains by Philip II, in thanksgiving for his victory over the French at the battle of St. Quentin in 1557. After a break for lunch, we continue to visit the memorial built by Franco to those who fell in the Civil War. High in the mountains, with splendid views, this amazing memorial was cut into the rock face to create the largest basilica ever built. It is surmounted by a cross some 410 feet high.

Visit the ancient capital of Spain, situated above the River Tagus. It contains the nation’s principal Cathedral as well as some of El Greco’s famous views. No other city has such striking illuminations, best appreciated on our guided sightseeing night drive. F12 - PARIS. The Louvre & Seine Cruise or Montmartre, or Eiffel Tower
We start with a conducted tour of one of the finest art galleries in the world - the Louvre. A chance to admire the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo amongst the many thousands of exhibits in this former Royal Palace. In addition, you may wish to admire the city from on high and ascend to the second stage of the Eiffel Tower. Alternatives are a trip on the ever-popular riverboats along the Seine, or a funicular ride up to artistic Montmartre. (On occasions when the Louvre is closed, we will visit the Sainte Chapelle). Our visit will be enhanced by the effective use of our excellent audio system.

We leave the bustle of the city for the splendour and magnificence of Versailles. Created by the “Sun King” Louis XIV, the palace becamethe envy of every other European ruler. Our guide takes us through the State apartments, including the famous Hall of Mirrors. All of this enhanced with the use of our excellent audio system. Afterwards, take a stroll through the meticulous tree-lined gardens.
